Switches inside can be used to switch between two operating modes:
Standard
By default, the footswitches connect tip or ring to sleeve - compatible with all effects that support an external 2-way aux switch.
Compatible with Line 6, Kemper, Fractal, RJM Music and many other manufacturers - in the "Tap & Aux Switches" category you will find a table with compatible effect pedals.
If the Aux-Tap Double is expanded with an external footswitch (e.g. the Aux-Tap Single), the expansion switches tip + ring to sleeve - and the Aux-Tap Double has become a 3-way footswitch.
Strymon MultiSwitch Clone
After changing the operating mode via the switches inside, the Aux-Tap Double behaves like a Strymon MultiSwitch without a middle footswitch. It can optionally be expanded to three foot switches and is compatible with Strymon Mobius, BigSky, BigSky MX and TimeLine.
Depending on the (on the Strymon pedal) selected mode the footswitches do different things:

1 Only available with TimeLine, the other modes are available with TimeLine, BigSky, BigSky MX and Mobius.
2 Hold TimeLine’s Tap switch to enter looper mode, and Tap-Aux Double gives you instant access to Reverse and Undo/Redo.
