The Patchbox Quintett BASIC is a variant of the Patchbox Quintett GEN 4, but without the many special features.
It has the same custom made aluminum enclosure as the Patchbox Quintett GEN 4, which - in contrast to the otherwise common die-cast housings - has a great advantage: the side walls are absolutely parallel to each other, which prevents mechanical stress on the circuit board and the sockets - more expensive to manufacture, but absolutely worth it due to its longevity.
In addition, it is also about 30% smaller and lighter than a comparable patchbox in the die-cast housing - with the same socket spacing.
